Heading to the Royal Sands in a couple of weeks.
Questions.
Is there a laundry service or self service machines?

Do they furnish coffee filters and paper towels?

Spa specials?

Thanks

There is a laundry area. It is located in the phase 1 side lobby floor near the boutique. You pay per load and supply your own soap (they sell it at the tienda on site).

They supply coffee filters but not paper towels. Although, they may now supply paper towels, as I think I read something about that. Someone who has been more recently probably knows for sure.

On your next visit you will find a roll of paper towels and dishwashing liquid in the kitchen. There will also be a welcome packet of regular and decaf coffee waiting for you. In the bathroom, you’ll find bottles of shampoo, conditioner and body lotion. Made from Yucatan honey, these bath products are manufactured in the area...

The aforementioned amenities will be available in all units at all the resorts starting January 1, 2016.

<and they have always provided filters for the coffee maker>

This is a great thread. I'm going in April. Rented an ocean front unit from an owner.

The AI is optional for us. Do you know if they do a partial? I might buy it for my son and friend but my wife and I would want AI.

Great to know! Thanks! Do you know if they will replenish the shampoo and conditioner as needed?

Do the villa's have 3 prong outlets? Also, we are traveling with another couple. Anyone know how we can separate our charges besides keeping track ourselves? Can we have 2 cards for the lock out unit and 2 cards for the 1 bedroom? Or will all 4 of our cards be on 1 bill?

Thanks!
Debbie

Don't know about replenishing, but I would ask your housekeeper for more as needed.
Yes to 3 prong, same 120v outlets as in the US
Each person in the unit gets their own charge card, so all charges are itemized per person. You can stop at the desk during the week if you want to see it or they put it under the door the night before check out.

The only off season that I chose to go was early Sep, like Labor Day week. Very nice. Even then, we just watch for hurricanes and have a prearranged agreement on staying/leaving if one is approaching after we arrive. From reading about the spa treatments, they are not value priced. Many use services up and down along the beach instead. That said there are typically people at the resort marketing/selling packages that work the lobby area and sometimes at a desk. If you've not checked their web page. You can contact them and ask (click the reservation button, just a contact button).

We have gone to Cancun in May and it has always been pleasant. However, on our last two trips the last day of our trip, it poured rain. As you get in to June, it becomes the rainy season. I think the best time would be late April to mid May. Decent weather, no crowds and no chance of hurricanes.

True, but for many the appeal is to get away from winter snow and freezing temps. By April, Maly, weather is gorgeous here, no need to flee.
