Anyone know how much the fee is by the week? Not having AI. Also, do they have free machines for the laundry?

Its 40.00 a week at The Haciendas for gym. I'm sure it would be close to the same at Sands. It includes use of the wet area as well. Laundry is available. I've never used it, but I think its by the pound. Or it used to be.

No free machines, there is a central facility that is staffed, as mentioned they weigh your clothes, bill goes on your room and they operate the machines with coins. Also, bring your own soap. They do not sell it in the laundry, they sell small bags in the on-site market. That was the case up to a year ago. Typically they initially ask me to return to move the laundry to the dryer, but by the time I leave they offer to do it. Upon return it may be folded or they help you while you do it, depends how busy the one person is.

Ok, thanks! One more thing-can you pay as you go for fitness room, we probably wouldn't go every day.

Royal islander fitness room access included in package

We just checked in at the Royal Islander last evening. We were told that there would be no charge for using the fitness center...that it was included in the "package" (we are here on an Interval International exchange). I plan to verify this shortly.

There are fees for using the laundry machines.

Right, if AI the gym fee is included. If not there is a charge (always has been) cheaper by the week, but there is a daily option too. I think it is (or was, my wife goes, not me) $8/day or $40/week.
