Hello,

I own a timeshare with Royal Resorts and am trying to enroll in RCI to make use of their Extra Vacation weeks. I tried signing up directly through RCI and they refunded me stating that the resort's managing company, Interval Servicing, had to set up my account. However, I've been trying to get them to set it up and they haven't done anything, sending me to RCI to sign up myself.

Has anyone gone through this process recently?

I don't think that Royal Resorts are affiliated with RCI. I think that Interval International is the exchange company

They use both it seems, but for the past few years they've been advertising RCI as the main one. Called Interval Servicing again today and was told that they had suspended new registrations with RCI while they confirm whether they'll continue using it with the new ownership, and RCI don't register me themselves so I just went with II.

When the RR switched to RCI about 8 years ago, owners of weeks did not have to sign up with them. We have maintained our membership in II. We have been Interval International members since 1980 and all of the timeshares that we previously or currently own exchanged through them. The RR units that you see in II for exchange are from owners such as myself. When they did a corporate switch to RCI anyone who was familiar with the timeshare world could see that RCI devalued the Royal Resorts. Therefore, we did not sign up with RCI.
IMHO if you want to exchange your unit contact II and see if you can sign up in their system.

I do use my week at the resort each year, not really looking to exchange it.y main reason for signing up is to access the Getaway weeks.

I still am trying to get access to RCI as they seem to be cheaper with them, but in the meantime, I did successfully sign up with II.
