We will be at the Islander and Sands for five weeks starting April 10. Can someone tell me if their TV's have access to Netflix, UTube, Amazon Prime, etc. Also, can you live stream Xfinity on an Ipad, or Netflix, etc.

Until 2019 we traveled to the Royals for 20 years, but I cannot remember if the TV's had these features in 2018! That's what happens to memory at 80:(

The Tv’s do not, the last I knew. But many people travel with some type of streaming device and hook it to TV for viewing during there stay.

If you have a US-Based account, unless you have a VPN, you may not be able to stream certain feeds [e.g. Netflix] in a foreign country.
This is also enforced for Canada whereby certain streams and/or content is blocked.

...and if you do not have a VPN you like, I've used Express VPN in the past (including from China) for access to US-geoblocked streams.

I tried Express VPN in both Mazatlán and Beijing - didn't work in either place and I had to go through the hassle of contacting them and cancelling. SmartDNSProxy.com did work in both places, and continues to work, with a hiccup here and again, in Mazatlán.

China is one of those places you absolutely need a VPN if you're used to anything google - especially maps!

At Royal Islander (without a VPN) can you hook up a laptop or Fire Stick thru an HDMI cable to the TV? Is the HDMI input even accessible?

It sounds like you can't stream Netflix, but what about Amazon Prime or Hulu or HBO Max? Can you get YouTube at least, or is nothing accessible with a Fire Stick?

I am using a Firestick at another Royals property. This resort has new smart tvs. Not sure about the Sands and Islander.
