hello Tuggers,

I wonder if any of you know of a blog for Royal Holiday Club owners. I've been looking to communicate an exchange request to a group of those owners.

I've listed on the TUGs Timeshare marketplace, but so far I've gotten zero responses.

If you know of an RHC blog or if you yourself are an RHC owner, let me know.

I used to own Royal Holiday weeks and points, and thank goodness, I was able to give the contracts away. I did a search for them and I came across an old video from 20/20. I found it rather fascinating.

I hope you find someone who can trade with you.

I am a Royal Holiday member.. There is another timeshare website called timeshareforums.com that has a section for Royal Holiday members under "resort chains". There isn't a lot posted on there, but there are a few knowledgeable members. A lot of them are also TUG members, but it is easier to find them on timeshare forums because of the separate section. Feel free to contact me at abcassidy@hotmail.com if I can be of assistance.

Hi Mary,
I curious how you're doing with your RHC points? Do you still own those Ambassador weeks?

I still own the points contract 90K worth. With the departure of Allen House and the extra charges on NYC, it is really powell place that I could use..

Parents been having some health issues so I have 2 years worth of points to try to move into RCI...

Pain in the butt since I no longer have an RCI weeks account and it has been purged. RCI saying I or RHC need to create it but no facility to enter RHC points contract in weeks application so on hold for conference call right now.

Do you know of any RCI discount for membership?

Mary

Nope. I ended up paying the full price.

How do you go about depositing RHC Points into RCI. Do you reserve week's then deposit them? I guess that's where you are now.

How about reserving a high power one bedroom somewhere and renting it out? I'm very out of touch with RHC. I loved going to NYC on their dime using the Ambassador weeks, and the upgraded one bedroom with the hotub in Cancun was lovely, but the points never worked for me. You really need a lot of them to get where you want to go.

How much extra is NYC?

For RCI deposits, my understanding is you tell them what size you want to deposit. The problem is they pick the week and often it could be a Mexican AI deposited less than 4 months from check in. It could even be a past date (that was bulk deposited) You get whatever the tpu's happen to be and the expiration is 2 years from the check in date which may have already occurred so you may end up with 15-20 months instead of the 24-36 months.

Wow, that sucks. Way to work with your owners, RHC! I remember they did this to me years ago. They deposited a cheap off-season week for me. I called them up and complained and they changed the deposit to a somewhat better week. But this was almost 10 years ago. YMMV nowadays!

Hi. There. I am an owner of RHC. What are you going for? Private exchange to go to a
RHC resort?

I don't remember the exact fee for NYC but it was in the neighborhood of $400

I just booked a week with the Manhattan Club via RHC to attend the dog show. The cost is $1,050 MF + $400 additional fee, so it will cost me $200 per night for a one bedroom. Tripadvisor quotes $350 per night. Exchange via RCI costs 60 points + a few hundred dollars resort fee. RHC still is the cheapest alternative to go to New York City.

My understanding is that SFX is way cheaper. No daily fees, just the MF and exchange fee.

But SFX has the 1 in 4 so if you want NY annually you would be out of luck.
