I again was lucky enough to deposit my DVC and rec a week at RC in Cancun. This time I was lucky enough to get a 2BR, so now I have a question. We are thinking about inviting freinds of ours to tag along....we are a family of 3, them a family of 4. I know I've read many times, the Royals occupancy is 6 adults. But, my question is....will they allow 4 adults and 3 kids (all mean boys ;) , ages 10, 11, and 12)? I'd like to know before extending the invite!

TIA
Micaela

They USED TO allow a 7th person you asked. When we were just there last month, I read somewhere that they no longer do that. I think I read it in the Royal Resorts News magazine that is provided in each villa.

However, what I would do is call ISCO and ask, pointing out that the extra is a child. You could also go on royalresorts.com and ask via live chat. If they say OK, then get it in writing before you make your arrangements. I can't imagine that they would really care about an extra 10 year old, but you don't want to take a chance.

We were there June 21-June 28. We were 7 in our party too. I had to show my daughters passport as proof that she is below 15, and then they were ok with that.
But with the new rules, I think it is a good idea to call ISCO.

very good, sounds like I should call ISCO either way....I will call them as soon as the confirmation comes through the mail.

thanks!

I own at the Royal Mayan and the Fifth Clause of the Contact, titled Occupancy Policy states:

“The maximum number of occupants generally allowed to utilize a villa is six; four in the master suite and two in the adjoining lock-off bedroom and bath. However, one additional occupant shall be permitted in the master suite, thereby increasing the total number of permitted occupants for the master suite to five and for the entire villa to seven, subject to the following rules: (i) advance notice is required and (ii) if none of the five intended occupants of the master suite is younger than sixteen years of age, a special daily sue fee for the additional occupant must be paid in advance”

This is part of the contract and not a rule! I’ll bet the Royal Caribbean contract is the same. If it is, you should not have a problem. Just follow item (i).

Have a good time.

Princess Tink.... Help!!!!!!! I need some help with trading my Christmas/New Year week at the Beach Club for something in southern Florida, and I am running into opposition in the way Disney does their trades. Can you please e-mail me at hellsbells4@optonline.net so I might get some information from u? Did u go directly to Interal or did u go through the disney exchange system?
Thanks, Helene4
