Room Recommendation at Anderson Ocean

We are staying at Anderson Ocean in a 2 bedroom PL starting this weekend. Are there any room recommendations? I would like to be on an upper floor for the view but also want to hear the ocean?

Room at Ocean 22

I should have done more homework about the layout of Ocean 22 before checking in, but ended up in Rm 402, which is low, and right at the street end. A mistake!

(Note that this was a 1 bedroom).

Based on this experience, I recommend:
-Ocean front if possible. Ocean view, at least from so far back, was worse than at Anderson, and a small sliver of beachview.
-Towards the back (ocean-end) of the building if doing ocean view. Based on 4th floor layout 402 and 401 were closest to the street, rising at even/odd increment on each side of the building. Avoid!
-go for higher room floors. 402 was noisy, from a maintenance area from adjacent hotel (Breakers) and even some sidewalk noise if you have the slider door open. And last week was Christmas week, so I can imagine how bad it would be in the summer

This was our first stay as owners, and we learned a lot about how to configure the right experience at HGVC.

Thats not how HGVC works, you cant just choose a better room, you have to know what you are booking. There are standard, plus, and premium rooms (penthouse too) that determine the view and floor designations, if you own standard and book home season you will always get a lower floor.

I havent seen the room designations for O22, you should have been given one if you purchased there from the developer, its usually color coded to the floors and types.

What did you think of the bathroom? I don't care for the open concept, prefer to have the commode enclosed.

I just booked a 3 night stay for Anderson. Our only experience has been Vegas and Portugal, how is this resort? Do they deliver a welcome basket? Thanks for an advice.

Open concept bathroom-ocean 22

My thoughts on the overall bath layout at Ocean 22:
1. Too much space given to the bathroom--we don't need that much, especially with just 2 people. I would rather have it as living room space.
2. slider between Bath and BR is okay, but didn't seem too private. I think a slide that was anchored top and bottom would be better.

Regarding the room designation, they mentioned several rooms that fit our booking type, but because I wasn't familiar with the hotel layout, I let them choose--and they chose the worst room. Better customer service would have been for them to have a chart or more information so that we would choose an available room that we would be happier with.

NOTE:Anderson is a mixed use location with some units allocated to HGVC.

Wyndham usually has one. Shell does also. Has a microwave popcorn, s&p, hot chocolate, tea bags, cream, sugar, coffee, etc. I think that might be what they mean.
