We will be at Mauna Lea at Maui Hill starting December 8, a 2 bedroom. Does anyone have suggestions about rooms or areas to request or avoid?

Liz, if you are exchanging in you can't request a certain unit. You get what you've been assigned. You should have a unit number already on your confirmation.
You can go to the site map for Maui Hill and see where your unit is located. Odd numbers are downstairs units, even numbers are upstairs units.

It is 58633. That seems really big for a unit number. I was hoping we could be on the top level and not have people tromping on our heads.

That doesn't sound right. It should be something like 10II (which is what the one we own is). That means unit 10, interval II. So the unit number should be no more than 3 digits. I'd call Maui Hill and see if they can tell you which unit you are in. Post back here, I'd be interested to see what unit you are in.
It is an SFX exchange. If that means anything. I'll call in the next few days to confirm & post back if I get more information.
