Hi,

I am a newbie here, and I am trying to learn this as I go along. I was just gifted HGV timeshare, and the process will be completed soon. I will inherit some points from the original owner that are from 2020 points. I am planning to use some points this year, but I don't think I will use all of the points from 2020 and 2021. Can I carry over the points to 2022? Do I need to at least use all of the 2020 points? Any advice is much appreciated.

You can save this year's points (2021) into next year's (2022) for a fee. But you won't be able to save 2020 points but they can be moved to RCI. Now, HGVC can wave the fee and rules on this again.

To confirm, if points are at risk of being lost because they cannot be rolled over, they can be moved to RCI to avoid losing the points? If so, is there an expiration when they’re moved to RCI?

They are good for two additional years when moved to RCI.
