Hi - There is a posting for a 2BR unit at Nanea in the marketplace for the week a friend is looking for. But the unit occupancy is only six and their family has seven people. Do they have rollaway beds there or is the limit strictly six? Thanks in advance.

If it is six maximum occupancy, then that is a rule, not a suggestion, because of things such as fire code and fines are involved. Some hotels make exception for a child under the age of 2, but you should check before you arrive.

Actually, they will allow a rollaway and a 7th person, as will North & South.

Do they refer to them as 6/6 or 6/8? Because if the former, and assuming it is an accurate representation, that doesn't make any sense. Maximum occupancy is the maximum for a reason.

Vistana doesn't use the terms 6/6 or 6/8. However, at resorts where they don't allow +1, they don't offer rollaway beds - HRA is an example of this.

I am considering a nanea 2 bedroom for a family of four adults, an 8 year old, 2 year old twins and a 6 month old. So, 8 people, but 3 are small children. Is that an option?

As a follow up, I contacted Nanea and asked my question. I was told that the occupancy policy is that 6 "people" can stay in the 2 bedroom units plus 1 small child. So, that won't work for us because we would have 1 extra person. But, I thought that might help someone to know in the future.

I've been on TUG for nearly 20 years. I didn't think my initial question would produce my first ever "dislike". My question was not intended to get around the limitations but to better understand them.
