ROFR for Wyndham

Has Wyndham ever considered implementing an ROFR program? What are everybody's opinions of the chances of that happening. Possible or Snowball in Hell? or worse..........

They have ROFR for Access. They may have it for others. It has to be written in the set up documents. Just because the have the right (of first refusal) doesn't mean that they will. Right now through Ovation and other programs they can get back points for free. Or for some highly desired properties can give the owner free usage in exchange for the points back. It is't likely that they would start using ROFR as long as ovation is working.

l think ROFR is not a good thing for owners. Before it becomes active a selling owner has to go to the trouble of finding a buyer. Then the ROFR process just adds a complicating step to the process that makes it take longer. I don't see how it adds any value to owning or to the property.

Wyndham NOT RECOMMENDED

I am trying to get rid of 4 different timeshares and Wyndham (by far) is the worst! I would recommend to anyone looking to buy timeshare . . STAY AWAY FROM WYNDHAM! My timeshares are (2) Marriott, (1) Shell and (1) Wyndham. Very successful with Marriott as I find them to be the easiest to work with. Example of difference: Wyndham transfer cost $299, Marriott $50. Wyndham has no buy-back and Marriott does. With Wyndham you loss ALL booked points with RCI. With Marriott you keep all transferred points in their Destinations Program. For the moment my banked points with Shell would transfer to new owner. I say "for the moment" as Wyndham now owns Shell and no telling what's going to happen!

Wyndham has the "Ovation" take back program. They don't give you anything for your contract, but they do take it back. Not all contract are eligible, but many are.
