ROFR for Sabel Palms

Just won an auction on eBay for a 2 bed, 2 bath red week (#7) at Sabal Palms for $1525. What are the chances of passing ROFR?

I am pretty sure that Sabal Palms does not have a ROFR. I think that Marriott added that clause only after Sabal Palms was built.

As the ROFR link in the FAQs for this forum shows, Royal Palms doesn't have ROFR, but Sabal Palms does.

According to the seller, it must pass ROFR. The question is, will it pass?

The seller may have used a Marriott timeshare template for EBAY that shows ROFR as being part of the sale. Explain to the seller that this particular resort does not have ROFR.

But to answer your question hypothetically, if it did indeed have ROFR, the odds of it passing are probably zero.

Marriott has not been exercising on ROFR as much lately. Also Sable Palms is an older sold out resort that they are not promoting. If they have a waiting list for buyers they will likely take it back, if not they will likely let it pass. They don't want to hold on to something that they are not actively selling.
