Hi, I put a hold on a 3 bedroom unit at Rockridge I and II for 4th of July week. I believe this is an older resort. Any thoughts on condition of resort. It seems like the amenities on site are very limited. It mentions Breckenridge spa is included and 1 mile from resort. Is this pool and excercise facility?

We have 3 boys 20, 18, and 16. I am thinking lots to do in the area for this crew, even though not much at resort. Is this resort somewhat convenient to summer activities?

I am not concerned it is not Gold Crown but want a good base to see the area. They loved Whistler and enjoyed mountain biking, golfing, and whitewater rafting.

Appreciate any advice.

It's a decent place to stay, above Breckenridge. My mother-in-law owned there a long time and sold her off-season week to a friend (for way too much money, but we won't go there).

When timeshares were built in Colorado back in the early 80's, it was a rare thing to see pools and amenities at any timeshare, except in tropical areas. When the big companies, like Sheraton, Hilton, Hyatt, etc., came into Colorado, they set a new standard for resorts that older resorts cannot even begin to match.

So I guess I am trying to say that the units are huge, nice, and don't have much in the way of amenities that people expect on vacation, but you should have great weather, no higher than the 80's, and there is so much to do in Breck. I have no idea about the spa near the resort. I know Breckenridge has a beautiful recreational facility.

Thanks for the response. It is so hard to decide so far in advance with only 24hr hold. I was able to pull this with my SA resort. I was not able to see much with this week and thought a decent trade for a holiday week.

I think we were spoiled because our first mountain vacation was Whistler. I am not familiar with Breckenridge. I imagine similiar activities just not as big as Whistler.
