I own a two bedroom two and a half bath Platinum week at Marriott's Manor Club at Ford's Colony. Is it difficult to trade into Ritz Carlton Scottsdale Troon North?

I thought that was Four Seasons?

You can theoretically trade via Interval, but only smaller sizes in low season are realistic.

If you are trading for a week via II, then it is impossible. Ritz Carlton is not part of II. If you have points through MVC, then it is very possible. I stayed at the Ritz Carlton last summer in St Thomas. I have also stayed at the Ritz Carlton at Lake Tahoe with points. I always see availability via points for the various Ritz Carltons.

Can't find any Ritz Carlton property there in the II resort directory.

There’s a Four Seasons in Scottsdale. Tough trade but one October, II had several available and I was able to grab a one-bedroom for the following February.

We're going next week to the Four Seasons at Troon. Yes it is hot but the pool area has misting and lots of shade. DW dad is living there and not sure if we don't go now if we'll see him alive again ( 86 and in bad health) So we're going now while covid is at a low level and no one else is traveling.

II has lots of studios but we held out for a 1 bedroom

The resort says they are at about 20% capacity.

Congratulations! We are staying at Marriott’s Canyon Villas now at the weather has been in the 90’s. It will be in the 100’s the rest of this week. Have a safe trip and enjoy your stay.

Best regards.

How have things changed at the resort due to COVID-19? We have reservations for a couple of weeks in the fall and are wondering what to expect then. Thanks!

It was pretty quiet, but they said it will be picking up in June. The main two pools are open and they are observing social distancing. They clean the pool chairs after each use. The pool bar/food shack and hot tubs are closed. Also the JW Marriott is closed including the lazy river. I thought the Wildfire golf course was open, but that is only open for members. We just checked out yesterday and are now at the Westin Kierland Villas.

The stores and restaurants at the Desert Ridge outdoor shopping mall are open too.

Have a great time.

Best regards.

Masks are now required everywhere in Scottsdale/Phoenix/Valley. If you golf, you have to wear it until you get onto the course or at least away from the clubhouse. One person per cart at most places, noodles in the holes.

You must wear a mask into restaurants. You can remove at the table but if you need to get up to use restroom, it needs to go back on.

Covid is on a rampage right now. Be smart, be safe and have fun!!
