I was wondering what my right to cancel Window is if I purchase at Morritts in the grand Cayman Islands
My vacation there and change my mind they said there was no right to cancel in the Cayman Islands
Does anyone know if this is factual and legal?

I paid for my timeshare upfront. I reached out within a week and decided I did not want the Timeshare. They said I did not have the right to cancel and could not get a refund. Does anyone know if this is correct?

I find nothing regarding any right of rescission in the Cayman Islands Constitution. You had best consult legal representation there. I would also alert my credit card to expect a dispute.

Good Luck.

I believe Aruba doesn't have a cancellation provision for timeshares. A search doesn't turn up a lot of information for the Cayman Islands. In fact my search brought up this thread as the first result. Read through your contract. It is very possible that there is no right of rescission for the Cayman Islands.

Morritts Management Company is in Florida.
Caribbean Resort Management but they will not be open before Monday - (727) 447-5344

I will reach out to a former board member who might know. It is a RTU so no deed.

From Board Member - “There is no rescind time in the contracts at Morritts, unfortunately. We have, however, gone home without signing a contract because we wanted to think about it and then completed the sale via email.”

What you can do is dispute the sale with your credit card and cut the financing.

I also purchased a timeshare at Morritt’s on August 28, 2024 and I do not see a right of recession in my contract. I thought we signed a contract to trade in my Wyndham Bonnett Creek timeshare with them through a broker that they use called EAS for a $16,000 credit towards Morritt’s purchase price. Morritt’s provided us with 2 separate contracts, theirs for $13k minus the down payment $1,538. And the brokers for $29k minus the $16k trade in credit. It took over 2 months to receive their contract via email and when I read it they actually gave us the option to keep Wyndham and they would release us from selling Wyndham to them for $2,000. Or we could sign their paperwork and they will process the transfer of our Wyndham to them for a cost of $1,900 transfer feeq and we would have to pay Wyndham MF for 2025. We were told by Morritt’s of the $1,900 transfer fee and Morritt’s told us they they will give us the $1,900 credit off the top of their sales price so that we can pay the broker. After looking at Morritt’s contract there is no mention of the $1,900 credit. The salesman subtracted the fee on scrape paper but did not show the actual original price of $31k in the contract. I now know that this was a bad deal and broker scam and called the sales person at Morritt’s advising him that we are are canceling due to his misrepresentation. The manager called back and offered $190,000 in point to be deposited in Interval for the misrepresentation and not advising us about having to pay next years maintenance fee for Wyndham. I told him to put it in writing and he sent us an email and cc’d the billing department. I then told the broker that we are not paying them anything and that we are not giving them our Wyndham timeshare and that I am canceling the contract due to the sales person’s misrepresentation. They told me to advise Morritt’s of the cancellation. I asked them how could they offer to let us retain Wyndham for a fee of $2,000 without it affecting Morritt’s contract which they indicated in their offer letter to us and they said that Morritt’s just takes the lost. I was scammed by Morritt’s. How do I get out of this contract with Morritt’s? I live in the US.
