Does Starwood have a ROFR for WSJ?

They do not for WKV, and I recall a Tugger said that they also do not have a ROFR for WSJ.

For a Starwood ROFR - what is the process for SVO notification about a in-process sale?

OK - I got an answer to this from Starwood Title.

WSJ (Virgin Grand phase) does not have a ROFR
also - there is no resort transfer fee.

Is the ROFR the same thing as the right to rescind?

No - ROFR is Right of First Refusal that some resorts have - this means that Starwood has the right to purchase the week for the agreed upon selling price between a buyer/seller of a resale unit.

David, are you going to sell me your WSJ week?

I didn't know you were looking to buy in WSJ? Be aware - there is no swim up bar.

As alluded to - I am buying the adjacent week/villa to the one we already own (from teh same sellers) and going through the process in order to help the sellers who cannot spend the effort.

Yes - we are crazy to add yet another TS week (especially in this economy and special assessments be levied without vote) - but for us it is worth having 2 weeks in STJ (esp. coming from SFO). We were at the point of having only 1 week was leaving us unsatisfied because of the distance/travel involved.

Of course this is changing our plans for 2009 - it looks as if we are going to be at the WSJ afterall (and glad I did not do a direct exchange of our WSJ week for an OF units at WKORV/N).

Thanks. And if I ever get any properties on the Big Island, I am going to use the tag line - "And in this Kona...":)
