Ridge Tahoe Reservations

We are every other year owners at the Ridge. I always book the week after Christmas. I do it while I am up there using for the 2 years later. Well today they told me it was already booked. Is that possible. They only let multiple week owners book 24 months out and the rest are 23 months out so that means they shouldn't even open it up to single year owners until Jan 1. Anyone have this experience?

I'm a single week owner at The Ridge. I've tried to book week 52 a couple of times with no success. It was my understanding that it had been completely booked by multiple weeks owners a month earlier.

We are at the Ridge this week (we're multiple week owners). We went to the owner's update, and one owner mentioned they had 3 weeks booked this week, and another had 5! The general manager mentioned that 18% of the owners own multiple weeks -- I didn't think to ask how many weeks are owned by multiple owners, but it has to be at least 38%. (unless he meant that 18% of the weeks are owned by multiple owners -- that would still be a high level of competition for the prime weeks).

So it's very possible that the week 52 in 2010 is already completely booked.

This year, we were really late in submitting our reservation request (11/30!) for week 52 in 2010 and we got our third choice of requested check-in day.

There used to be a waiting list -- you should give them a call to see if they might still use it.

Becky we own two units and book 24 months out and always take July 4th week. You can still send in your request I believe its sixty days early and this list as un-confirmed until confirmed and it would also be like a waiting list.

We did this twenty six months out on our 9/3/2010 season. It went un-confirmed until Sept then was changed to confirmed.

If you do this and couple weeks still available you then would be first to get it even with a one week ownership.
