Revolution vs Classic reservation system: 3 day advantage

I'm not sure if someone mentioned this or not but did you know there is a 3night advantage booking reservations thru Revolution vs Classic?

I just confirmed a reservation 8/6 - 8/13 in Revolution but the same unit and same time frame is not available in Classic. The normal Club reservation window in Classic ends 8/11.

Just a heads up if someone is wanting to book a 'hard to get' unit in a high demand resort, use Revolution and not Classic.

I've browsed Classic and Revolution, but like the look of Revolution a lot more/
Altho' on some sample open season searches it was snail slow that one session I haven't reserved thru either yet ...

History Lesson:
First, there was Classic (hence the name). Many of us old-timers grew used to it.
Then they brought Revolution and took away Classic (for a totally bogus reason).
Revolution was quirky and prone to dysfunction, and so the peasants revolted.

Like "Coke Classic," after much ranting+wailing, they brought "Classic" back.
Many rejoiced. They also promised a totally new, user-friendly, booking system.

All this was several years ago... I notice that it's still being promised.

I just tried the Classic System and I was able to book checking out 8/13, however, I couldn't get the Revolution System to work. I have used in the past to change reservations, however, I couldn't book a reservation. The system froze. I believe it may be that they are requiring a special Flash Drive that I don't have on my Apple Air. Does anyone have any thoughts on this since I do use the Revolution System at times and need to be able to have it work.

Apple doesnt support Flash so you cant run Revolution on your Mac unless you install special software or run Windows on it. Probably not worth the trouble, the new reservation system is dropping Flash so it should run on all types of computers and mobiles.

I find Chrome works better with Flash sites, than IE even v11.

When is the new Revolution System going to be on line and working?

At the rate that the new Revolution System was developed and the old Revolution System had the bugs worked out I will have to call in to make reservations for the 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020 years before I can use the Revolution System with an Apple!

Chrome works with Flash Sites?

I find Chrome works better with Flash sites, than IE even v11.

I had chrome on my lap top but I deleted it today with the help of an Apple Technician since I had a virus and he was trying to get rid of stuff that could be causing the problem. I guess I can reinstall it if I need to,

Sorry I meant I have fewer problems with Flash using Chrome on Windows.
I don't know how Apples work with Chrome.

Good News, Revolution System with Mac Book Air Works

I had chrome on my lap top but I deleted it today with the help of an Apple Technician since I had a virus and he was trying to get rid of stuff that could be causing the problem. I guess I can reinstall it if I need to,

I have been having computer problems over the last few days so I called Apple today and they troubleshot a virus that I had over the phone and cleaned up my problem with using the Revolution System with my Mac Book Air. They were really great over the phone and knew exactly what to trash to make it work. I am a happy HGVC Reservation Maker again using the Classic System or the Revolution System.
