This review is for a free stay that I earned for having the Hilton Aspire Amex card. Although it is not a timeshare, It is part of my portfolio of choices for travel as a timeshare owner. The Aspire AMEX card is the only high annual fee card I have. The fee is $450/year, but I get to stay one day a year at any hotel within the Hilton collection. I chose the "the Del" with a free night worth $366 plus a free $30 breakfast. The card gives me free breakfasts at all Hilton properties plus a $250 statement credit for a resort stay (another free night)... there are additional benefits, but I will easily get over $700 in benefits a year if not more.

I enjoyed my stay at "the Del". I loved sitting in the courtyard, by the pool, or sitting on the beach. The location is very close to many places to eat or you can eat at the hotel. The hotel has a wonderful victorian style including 10 foot ceilings, etc... I spent a lot of time relaxing or walking the beach.

I highly recommend staying at "the Del". It has always been on my bucket list and in my opinion should be on everyone's list. Hope you enjoy the video below;

Hotel del Coronado is a gorgeous place... makes a wonderful weekend getaway. If you can get a night free, so much the better.

We love the Hotel Del. Have been fortunate enough to stay there a few times and always come by for a visit when we are in the area. One of my best friends from high school is married to a man who was the financial advisor for Larry Lawrence, who owned the hotel until his death. They had some great stories about him and the hotel.

There are rumors about ghosts at the hotel... If true, they are definitely friendly ghosts (it is consistent with its victorian roots :cool: ). A wonderful place...

Most of his stories were about the owner.
