I am looking for info on resorts that offer golf discounts or packages, during your stay.

We previously have stayed at the Marriott Heritage Club, and really enjoyed our "free" golf at $26/person :D

I have tried on numerous occassions to ask with the Marriott people, and most of them seem to not know anything about golf. Owning at Grande Vista allows us a discounted rate to play at the 9 hole course on property, but what about the nearby courses?

Are there any resorts that offer a unlimited golf package for the week, for the price of $$$.

Thanks!
Amy

Grande Vista Golf

What is the fee to play the 9 hole course at Grande Vista? Is there a fee to use the practice facilities?

waterside at hilton head--only if you are an owner

you get golf for 4 for $29 cart fee each every day at shipyard or port royal. It used to be avail. for exchangers--but they made it owners only last year. We went this year and the golf knocked $200-300 off of a bill for 2 for 3 days play. It was enough of an incentive for us to buy one (resale) this year. Plus they have a FIRM 1-4 rule, and we wanted to go more than every 4 years.

Marriott owners trading in to Manor Club in Williamsburg get six greens fees per week with the ability to use up to two in a day. Cart fees are around $30.

Many resorts will have an activities director who can get you some great rates at the local courses. One of our TS, Palm Caynon in Palm Springs, the activity dir. got us 50% off at more than a dozen courses in PS.

We were very pleased with the help.

Just found my letter

Thank you for your replies!

When we purchased at Grande Vista we were immediately given a letter that says we are entitled to 25% off at the on-site 9 hole course.

Our salesman said that there was a weekly membership that could be purchased at some of the resorts, I have yet to find any info on that. I thought he even said it was available at Grande Vista. Marriott Owner services has recommended that I call the salesperson directly to ask him about it.

When I inquired with the MVC at Doral, they told me that you get no discount unless you actually own at Doral
