Reservation confusion ?

After reading through the post here I got the impression that you were able to make a reservation 13 months in advance if you own two Marriott timeshares at different locations.

However, I believe I was told from Marriott that you needed to own both at the same location in order to reserve 13 in advance. And, that you can only reserve for that particular resort at that time.

Does anyone have the answer?

It doesn't matter if the weeks are at the same resort or not. What matters is that their seasons overlap so that you are booking consecutive or concurrent weeks.

So, you can only book 13 months out if you are booking two weeks?

For instance, If I own two Marriotts at different resorts, can I book each 13 months out at each location....one week at Aruba....one week at HH?

Or are you saying that because Aruba premium is winter, and HH is summer it can't be done?

That's correct. You can only use the 13 month rule if you are booking two units/weeks (not one unit locked off into two). Also, the two weeks need to be exactly concurrent or consecutive. So, if the seasons of your units don't overlap, you can't use the 13 month rule.

Thankyou, I now understand. My husband and I agree that this is not what was told to us when we purchased our weeks. Thanks again for the explanation.....
