As posted on another thread, we have just made our first reservation at our home resort - Harborside - for next summer. My concern is that we didn't receive a confirmation e-mail as the rep said I would.
The first rep I talked to on the day I made the reservation, actually said that we should receive 2 e-mails: one for a reservation starting 6/19/09 which we cancelled in the same phone call to replace with the week starting 6/21/09. I called the next day to see why I hadn't recevied the e-mails, thinking it may take more than a day to send, but when this rep sent it, he stayed on the phone with me, saying that I should receive it immediately. I didn't. He had to send it to his own address at Starwood, and then send me a copy via his address. I then received the confirmation, but I am sure this is not how the process is supposed to work. He confirmed my e-mail address was correct as they do in EVERY phone call  so I don't think that is the issue.
Is this a common occurrence? We receive other Starwood SPAM, so I know it's not a total disconnect between us. Will I receive a confirmation via mail, besides the e-mail anyway? I tried to confirm the reservation via the website, but didn't see a way to do this. I am guessing this capability is not available.
Surprise, surprise.
