Good morning!

I purchased a Timeshare on July, 7th, 2008 and then decided to rescend my purchase. I mailed a certified letter on the 11th and it was received the 14th. I also paid for delivery confirmation where they signed and the little form was returned to me, as well I paid for e-mail delivery confirmation, where an e-mail was sent to me confirming receipt. I also called and confirmed my receipt; however, they informed me that it's a 30 day process for a refund.

With that said, all my contract stated that I needed to do was to send a written rescission letter within 10 days. May I be out of luck since I did not fax the request as well? I tried faxing the rescission letter on the last day as well; however, unfortunately I could not get my fax to dial out or theirs to receive. For those of you who have successfully completed this process, did you contact them once a week to check on the status of the rescission process? If so, are there specific things to ask for?

Thanks,

Pat

It does take a while but maybe not 30 days to get your money back. Since you send rather quickly, I don't believe your case will take that long. If you want to check, maybe after 2 weeks (which is close to middle of next week), call them, and see what it goes.

You will get you money back. Although TS used to be very bad, noiwadays, once they recognize they get your letter on time, it will be an automate process for any USA based company. (No desrespect to other country, but I have not dealing with them before)
