Does this work for the rescission letter? Printed and signed by both my husband and I and mailed to BOTH of the addresses they list on our paperwork. (PO Box 890189 Orlando & 6277 Sea Harbor Drive, Orlando.) I already certify mailed both on the 13th. But if you think I missed something I could get something in the mail today as well as it is the last day to do that now. Advice please? We bought in Las Vegas & got 23k credits for 40k with an additional one time bonus credits of 23k and a week at any resort for $300. I REALLY appreciate your advice!! : )

You didn't miss anything, but you are not making a "request"; you are asserting and exercising a legal right provided to you by state law. Semantics maybe, but I would have changed your opening line to "We hereby rescind / cancel (insert purchase details) never using the word "request" at all. It is not a “request”; you are issuing a legal directive --- but no harm done.

Be aware that the seller is under no obligation to provide you with any "confirmation", written or otherwise, although they might do so. Their only real obligation is to process a timely submitted and correctly addressed rescission and issue a 100% refund within 45 days (likely to occur sooner, but Federal consumer law does allow for up to 45 days).

DO NOT make (or answer) any "follow up phone calls"; they are legally meaningless and can only serve to muddy the waters if "conveniently misinterpreted" at the other end.

Well done — and be sure to save your postmark date-stamped receipt issued by USPS when you sent your rescission by certified mail, just in case the timeliness of your rescission submission is ever challenged. It’s that postmark date that matters, not the date of delivery.

I was wondering if you had to follow up with a phone call or second letter, and how much time should I give them. You're good; no need to worry. All you need is the one certified letter. They will process it as required by law. However, they are under no obligation to let you know it has been done.

Thank you for your response!! Do you have any idea how long it normally takes for them to process these things? (I’m trying not to obsessively watch the credit card to see if a big credit shows up. LOL)

No, but while they lie 'like a rug' when trying to sell, they will process rescissions; as required by law.
