Rescinding HGV Timeshare Question

I'm sending my rescission letter today via certified mail. Are there any other documents I need to send with the letter?

Nope. Did they provide a rescission letter that you just signed or did you need to write one? Either is fine and just send certified USPS.

Thanks for the help. They did not provide one, but I've written one based on templates and info I have gotten from this forum.

You basically just need to say that you want to rescind and provide your names, property, contract number, date that you signed, and then have all owners sign it.

Yes, that's exactly what I'm including. I'll get myself and wife to sign it and mail it today via certified mail. We're on day 5 of the 10 day rescission window.

Welcome and congratulations. I would suggest that you take your time as your research HGVC resales. There is not a reason to rush. Feel free to ask questions because we have a great group of TUG members willing to share their knowledge.

Update for everyone, Hilton responded to my letter with an email acknowledging it. And they said they will refund the deposit within 20 days.

Congrats! With the exception of a very few incidents, HGVC has been very good at honoring the recessions of those in the recession window. If you are still interested in the system, stick around and research. You can learn a lot from the members here. I know I did.
