I went to a presentation yesterday at the Capital Vacations office in Branson, MO and bought a sampler package that gives me 200,000 points for $2100 and I get a price freeze on my ownership offers.

Since I am a Bluegreen Owner they told me I can use them as aspire points with them once I become a Capital Owner, But I couldn't find any info anywhere on this. I think it's just a sales pitch lie.

However I feel like this purchase might not be a good choice for me and I kinda want out. I paid the entire $2100 on Credit Card. There was no rescindtion instructions in the packet I got and no address to send the letter to. The only thing I know is that I have 5 days to cancel from Yesterday.

So mu big questions are?

What is the address to send the letter to?

Should I contact my Credit Card company on wanting out of this, maybe evn getting a charge back, since they failed to give me any instructions to resind?

In some cases, these sampler packages don't qualify under the rescission laws.

would reread the sales contract, usually it is buried somewhere in there. (and is required to be in florida at least).

grats on saving 2100 bucks!

I am not out of the woods yet, see what dioxide45 says and that is my problem. Those high pressure sales made to where I was in a big hurry. However I am sending a certified letter in already and filing a report to the Missouri Attorney General office.

All you can do is try (like you are) and see what drops out of the rescission tree.....

Best of luck!

In addition Capital Vacations may be a Vacation Club and not a TimeShare...

Even things like Encore packages bought from major developers don't have rescission periods.

Worth a try to rescind, but know that most 'Samplers' at that price level are just pre-paid vacations to give a future sales team another shot at you. If there is a clause in your paperwork that use of it requires a sales presentation- or words to that effect- it's likely that's what you bought. Either take them up on their deal and don't buy anything, or chalk it up to a $2100 lesson and let it lapse.
