Just wanted to thank the members here for setting me straight before the 10-day cooling off period ended. My DH and I lost our heads this week and signed up for 2.5k MVC Trust points at the cost of $33k. Thankfully, I woke up at 4 am the next morning and rethought that decision. DH woke up with the same conclusion too. We have owned Marriott TS for the past 23 years; had 3 and are now down to 1. Normally, we know better. But our salesperson was very good and we are rusty after 18 months of Covid-19.
Anywhoo, I remembered this site and started doing a search on this topic. I read plenty to get me in the correct frame of mind and act promptly after reading the cancellation terms. The cancellation is in place. The salesperson did make a counteroffer for 1k MVC Trust point, but again thanks to this site, I was ready for that to happen and declined immediately.
What I know for sure is if we ever decide to enhance what we have (only a 1 BR EOYO at a resort we love), we will research here first to figure out what is the best course of action.
