Thanks to the info so readily provided by the group here, we rescinded on a timeshare purchase from the developer. I mailed the cancellation paperwork before the end date to the Orlando address as provided by Starwood, and have confirmation delivery that it was received on Oct. 24th.
We put the deposit on our SPG Amex, and I'm still waiting for that refund to show up. Getting a bit nervous/antsy, even though the paperwork says they have up to 15 business days to credit us, and we are still a week shy of that.
Can anyone out there advise on how long Starwood usually takes to process the refund? I just want to make sure the rescind decision went through before we get started on buying resale. And from what I understand, the only confirmation we'll get of that from Starwood is when we see the refund. Just hate being in the dark while we wait.
There's also no number to call (that I could find), but if you guys have an inside scoop on that, I'm all ears.
Thanks in advance!

I would expect them to take the full 15 days. I wouldn't do anything until 15 days have passed since they received the recission.

I have never heard of anyone who rescinded with Starwood, within the time limit, who didn't get their money back. I think you will be fine.
