Resale star options that can transfer to club points

I’m a owner of 81 000 SO that converts to 2600 club point, is there any way I can buy more star options that would convert to club points? I own before 2023 when they set the deadline

There is no way to acquire resale mandatory VOIs that get you Club Points. The only way around it would be to buy resale mandatory VOIs and then requalify them with a minimum $10K purchase. However, I think there are better ways to do that as you can buy a cheaper voluntary deeded week and requalify that. Many people buy Platinum Lagunamar weeks.

I'll start by saying I'm no expert. Inviting the more knowledgeable to respond. But... If the end game for the OP is to have 2,600 + X club points available to reserve on the Marriott side, couldn't they merely rent the X points somewhere like vacation point exchange?

@tamu-bu yes you are correct, anyone who has access to Abound can rent in Club points up to 20,000points per year and often at or less than the cost of maint fees for Trust points.

As dioxide says, if buying for ongoing use is the aim, then there are several avenues, including buying a good Vistana week resale and retroing it as well as buying Vistana inventory direct.

If club points are the end game, then there are also the choices of buying a non-US week direct from MVC that is enrolled, buying a bundle of a week and trust points from MVC direct that are enrolled or buying resale Club points and paying the initiation fee ($3/club point min $3k) to enrol them. All of which can be cheaper than buying Trust points direct from MVC.
