Hello, I have read several post regarding resale purchases that had issues getting current year points added to their accounts. Is there a Wyndham policy that supports this? If so can someone tell me where it can be found. I won a bid on Ebay and hope to be closed before the end of the year. All points are available per the seller. The estoppel letter supports transfer of the points taking place, but doe not acknowledge how many are available.

I am not aware of it being written anywhere. If it closes after 7/1, I would assume you won't get 2024 UY points automatically. You may be able to argue to get them back, but it's up to you how much effort you want to put into it.

When I got Wyndham in late May last year, the transfer took into November, and no points were awarded till 2024. So you'll probably not be paying MFs till December, and won't get points till January for 2025.

We're 2023 points available in the sellers account?

It's an unwritten thing that has been happening the last few years. It used to be if the points were in the sellers acct they would transfer whenever the transfer was complete. This after mid-year thing starting happening, I think a few years ago now. Now I guess those points just go to the points bucket in the sky? (Wyndham does not have to account for points like one might think you would in a bank acct. Wyndham can pull them out of thin air, and as in the case of transfers, disappear them just as easily.
