Resale points and additional guest confirmations

I am VIP Platinum. I currently get 30 guest confirmations/year. I am looking to buy enough points that will get me over 2 million. If I buy these resale, will Wyndham give me 15 additional guest confirms? I know the Wyndham manual says resale points do not count toward guest confirms, but I was wondering if any of you have experienced otherwise.

Resale purchases do not qualify for VIP benefits, and that includes those guest certificates.
