Has anyone done business with TRI West Realty in Los Angeles? Would you recommend?

No opinion on them - but if I were you, I'd use Seth Nock. He is one of the most respected broker here on TUG.

There are several other resale brokers who other Tuggers have had good experience with, such as Shelly from Transactionrealty.com and Jessica from Timesharing2000.com; if you read through old posts you'll see others as well.

If looking to buy your best course is to spread your net as wide as possible, contacting brokers, looking on Ebay and perusing all the resale sites to look for the best buy on what you are looking for. Keep in mind that even though a particular broker may have gotten rave reviews from others, he/she may not be able to get you a good deal. For example, when I made my purchase, I tried dealing with a broker who was highly recommended here on Tug and, after telling the person what I was looking for (resort, view and price), the agent basically dismissed me and never returned a call/e-mail; although the agent told me my pricing was too low, I did in fact purchase what I wanted within a few hundred dollars of what I wanted to spend (so, at least on this I wasn't crazy).
