Hi,
Sitting here in Ko Olina. Attended a TS presentation and learned about the Marriott points system. Didn't purchase - entry cost is high for my comfort, esp to purchase the number of points that allows us to come back without "purchasing a low number of points now, borrowing ahead, and then buying more points in 2-3 years" - which is what the rep recommended.
This is our second time in 3 years "renting" Ko Olina. It's a nice place...and the kids like it. I wanted to see if we really liked it before getting serious about purchasing a unit.
Seems resale (continues) to be a way to go, but I'm not completely connecting the dots wrt to the "new" points system.
If I were to purchase a resale (say in May), can we chose to keep with the old system, or are we forced to convert to the points system? I believe that we can elect to say as is, week-for-week....Correct?
Insights welcome.
Kind regards,
LarryC
