I'd love to get one for mom but don't see where to buy it for that price...

Never mind, found it on HPs ebay website. Refurb and only the $149 one available... No thanks.

We bought one during the first sale for $100 and it is great for checking email, or surfing the net. The aps are ok, but it would be a lot better if the OS was Android. They might upgrade next year and then I would be more excited about it. The OS on the HP tablet will not play MP4 movies and we have not figure out a way to do that. But, it is still nice to have an extra tablet around.

However, there are some nice tablets on sale for $300 and I would recommend spending the extra money and getting something that you would really be happy with.
