Replacement week

Has anyone used their replacement week through Interval yet? I used mine last night and was charged the non Marriott to Marriott Exchange fee.
I called Interval this morning and they said the replacement week losses it’s preferred rate Marriott to Marriott.
I knowingly choose the option that was good for 1 year of cancellation and came with an exchange fee but no one explained that fee was $209 even if I exchanged into a Marriott and my replacement week was a Marriott.

All in the exchange cost me the original exchange fee $159 plus $327 (2nd exchange fee, size upgrade, and e plus) ouch.
Sure hope the kids have a good time in Maui on us.
