Hi All,
We have a wicker sofa bed at out beachhouse.
This year, something happened when renters were pulling out the bed and one of the legs on the bed bent and started rubbing the wicker when it was opened. Needless to say, over the course of the summer, there is a small section (~ 3" long) where 2 or 3 of the wicker strands are really frayed.
How can we fix this so it doesn't wear out the fabric on the cushions? We thought about trying to wrap it with white electrical tape (which would match the wicker) but don't know how we would wrap each strand of wicker. I was wondering if it could be sanded smooth. Because the wicker fiber is really frayed, sanding may not be an option.
