Just for informational purposes, is one allowed to rent Interval Extra Vacations? I saw one for rent recently and wasn't sure...

Thanks!

I believe "Extra Vacations" is actually RCI terminology --- with the comparable Interval Intl. product being called "Getaways". An unimportant distinction perhaps, since I don't believe that either one can ever be rented out after being obtained from the respective exchange company.

I also believe that Interval members are also prohibited from selling any weeks that they obtain via an Interval International exchange.

You are allowed to give them to family and friends if you can't use it.

....and you are officially allowed to collect Reservation Charge and Guest Certificate fees back, but no compensation for MFs.

There is nothing in II Terms and Conditions that allow this. According to the II rules a member may not receive any compensation for a Guest Certificate. That being said, I doubt II would give a member a hard time if they found out family/friend had reimbursed the member for those fees.
