My wife and I have a confirmed trade into a two bedroom at the Four Seasons at Troon North. Since we only need one bedroom I asked about renting either the master or lockoff unit. I was told I cannot rent the unit, and that owners are also forbidden from renting their units.

Anyone familiar with this rule?

If it’s one reservation I’m not sure how you could rent it. Not to mention there are most likely specific rules on renting let alone a trade. Could almost bet everything you cannot rent that trade. Get people to go with you and enjoy the resort

If it’s an Interval International exchange then yes, it’s not allowed.
See this TUG Sticky post titled “Which exchange companies allow exchanges to be rented?” - https://tugbbs.com/forums/index.php...companies-allow-exchanges-to-be-rented.71138/

However I believe Four Seasons Residence Club owners can rent their owner week unless something changed

Previous authorized resellers still have rental weeks on their websites

I've been told even owners cannot rent a portion of their reservation. If it's a two bedroom under one reservation, renting one part while occupying the other is not allowed. Or if it's a single concurrent or consecutive two week long reservation made 13 months in advance, renting one week while occupying the other is not allowed. Not sure if it's true.
