Rental restricted weeks?

I am trying to rent out my a ski week at the Worldmark Steamboat Springs as my plans changed for next year. Since it's my first rental, I tried using Redweek's full service for extra hand holding. I provided Redweek with my reservation for verification, but the agent came around and told me that they cannot post my week because it "spans over Wyndham's restricted weeks." and quoted me the Wyndham site https://clubwyndham.wyndhamdestinat...rces/reservations/owner-priority-reservations. And Wyndham listed the whole Jan-Mar as weeks with limited access for all its ski resort properties.

I am a confused. Are Worldmark properties/owners subject to the same restriction under Wyndham? Even within the quoted site, it states, "you can travel with your guests to these resorts during the dates listed below and may use two guest confirmations per year during the restricted dates when not traveling with your guests." Doesn't it mean that I can use up to two guest certificates even when I am not traveling?

Does it mean that I can't rent out a limited access week anywhere at all?

No, WM does not follow Wyndham restrictions & the club rules allow rentals. Keep following up & if redweek doesn’t allow it, try posting here. Please keep us updated.

I emailed Redweek, and they told me they are refunding me without providing an explanation. I called cuz I want to see what kind of exchange the agent had with the resort if any, and customer service said they will try to get someone to call me back, but honestly not sure if they will care to respond at this point. Seems like Redweek just doesn't want to deal it.

I agree Redweek doesn't want to deal with it. Wyndham grants exceptions plus as you mentioned if the owner is staying at the same time but redweek also won't verify it for a self service rental. They will allow you to list in the DIY but they warn renters that they have to be careful because wyndham may cancel the reservations.

I am guessing for some of the Worldmark properties share the same location as Wyndham, Redweek thinks they are the same thing. Makes me wonder if WM owners have trouble listing other properties on Redweek.

From what you posted, it is a safe bet that Redweek is applying Club Wyndham owner priority dates to WorldMark resorts.

fwiw - the WorldMark owner priority resorts and dates are different and apply only to reservations booked using a cash option. (No 2 guest certificated exceptions.) Reservations booked using credits are unrestricted. Steamboat Springs is not even one of the resorts listed, so rentals there are completely unrestricted.

Redweek probably does not know there is a difference, would not understand the difference, and does not want to deal with it.
