Has anyone else noticed the price increases on the rentals that are kicking in starting in 2007. I noticed that Mountainside for week between Christmas and New Year's increased from 625 to 750 per night for a 2 BR. Aruba Surf prices have exploded. Looking at Jan 07 2BR OV is 1200, OS 1250, and OF 1350. 3 BR OV is 1600. I would say the value of ownership is starting to increase.

Maybe, maybe not. Just because that's what they're asking doesn't necessarily mean that's what they're getting. It's not like housing sales, for example, where you can actually find out what something sold for, if not directly, then through back-figuring via the taxes.

I saw Mr Marriott recently on CNBC or one of those, and he said capacity was almost at pre 9/11. With higher capacity comes higher prices. And with higher prices should come higher rental prices. It all about supply and demand.

I'm seeing it first hand. The moment direct Maui Marriott rentals are loaded, they are gone just like prime TS weeks. I need a day before my week and two days after, and I'm really concerned if I'll be able to get them.

Regards.
Joe
