Removing wallpaper

Any quick ways of removing wallpaper? I have to help my son remove two rooms worth. Thanks for the tips.
 
Hot water or steam. You can also get a scoring tool made for wallpaper removal. It scores (puts holes) in the wallpaper allowing the water or steam to penetrate. A large plastic scraper helps, too.
 
Put wallpaper remover in spray bottle- diluted as instructions say- score with 'Paper Tiger'- available where you buy the remover stuff. Spray walls liberally. Go away for at least a half hour- or double what the instructions say- we always go out for a meal about now. If it doesn't just peel off in huge strips, spray some more and go for a beer. It will come off easily. wash off the excess glue with water, prep for whatever you are going to put on the walls next.

We sprayed the wall with a mixture of 1/2 water and 1/2 vinegar. Worked like a charm.

Make sure you score the paper not the wall beneath or the next job will be filling little holes. Jim makes a good point about waiting. Letting the spray dilute the glue saves time and effort.

Is this on dry wall or plaster? I think it makes a difference. You can do considerable damage to plaster walls.
 
I've used many of the suggestions already mentioned. It all depends on what type of paper you have on the walls now; how long it's been there; and how it was originally applied. e.g. If the wall was not primed properly, you will probably need the steamer.

Add fabric softener to the water when wetting down the wallpaper. It relaxes the paper a bit so you get bigger chunks pulled off and the glue is not so sticky on the fingers. Smells good too!
 
Paint over it

We had some that was really stuck on and after checking decided to paint over it and it worked very well.We ateamed one room and oainted the other.
