I wanted to let everyone know that it is possible to relinquish your Oyster Bay Beach Resort timeshare. It was a simple process without any fees. It just took a long time (about six months). Part of the delay was due to COVID19 shutting down their offices for 3 months and the other delay was mostly of my making. You just need to contact Pearl Development in Blue Bell, PA to start the process. This was for contracts that were fully paid.

We owned flex weeks there (resale) for over 10 years and always enjoyed the resort. Unfortunately, about five years ago the developer started selling fixed unit, fixed week contracts. Over time, all the winter weeks were sold like this freezing out the flex owners. Currently, flex owners are pretty much limited to off season and occasionally some shoulder season weeks.

Thanks for sharing your experience. This is just another example showing that an owner does not need to hire a law firm or an exit/relief/cancel company.
