Anyone own here? About to get into contracting on an eBay auction and wanted some background. Seems like a lot of RCI points with a relatively low maint fee. Drawbacks? Anything I should be concerned with?

anyone know anything about rentals? It’s deeded week 52. I guess that’s a good week to own.

We stayed there once with a RCI booking. The Regal VIstas are very nice and the resort does have a lot of activities. however they have fees for everything.
This resort is mostly it for the area. We did visit a small mall and a museum by the Menoittes. other than that the resort is the attraction. They have several different buildings that make up this resort and it forms a horseshoe shape down hill to a lake. The downside is they let the public use the waterpark and sometimes it is overcroweded. It does have skiing if that is your thing.

If the 178k RCI pts for $1k MF annually is correct, you got a great deal. Lots of people rent here. @Eric B @tschwa2 come to mind. I think they have week units, with RCI TPU power boosts for early payments. They rent for just the MF then use the free RCI TPU power boosts.

I plan on using the points to trade in RCI. if it doesn’t work out I’m out of it.

Excellent. Yes the maint fee is projected at $1030 for 2020. 178K points. It seems like the highest I’ve seen out of many resorts. I’m wondering if maybe I can rent half of the points and use the rest for DVC. I have a slight feeling I’m going to be struggling on being able to use all of these points! I’m in between excitement and remorseful

The rules of rci are that you can't rent out your points or the reservations made with your points. People do. I have never heard of someone getting in trouble for renting and then transferring points (but again its against the rules so just be aware).

Ahh ok I thought renting the points to transfer was allowed. Very good to know.

I have the same with 178k RC[ points that I trade for other weeks st other resorts. That's lots of points that you can use to have friends and family also use. Just get them the Guest certificate to check in on their own.

You are replying to a thread that is over 3 years old. Not that there’s anything wrong with that. I believe @CPNY has about completed the cycle on his Regal Vistas ownership at this point.
