Redweek Question - Selling my Hyatt TS

I'm trying to sell my Hyatt High Sierra Lodge Gold Week. I posted an ad here on TUG and am considering paying for an ad on Redweek.com but I have a few questions I hope someone can answer:

1) Is paying to advertise a unit on Redweek worth it? Do folks buy TS from that site?

2) Redwee doffers 3 levels of ad. Is it worth the additional cost to purchase a "Do-It-Yourself" verified or Full-Service listing over the basic listing?

3) If I advertise on Redweek , will I attract a lot of scammers

Any advice is helpful.

I've had good luck selling timeshares on Redweek, but I would not use their full service. Reports here on TUG indicate that their in-house brokers (or whatever they are) are often not fully informed -- and certainly not as well informed as you would be. At best that could slow down the process and at worst it could annoy or push away potential buyers.

I would pay the few extra dollars to "verify" that you own what you are selling.

I have also had good luck listing timeshares for sale here on TUG. The more exposure, the better.

If you advertise to sell on Redweek, choose do-it-yourself only. Verified does not add any value for resales, and their full-service is not good.

1. I have sold and purchased from redweek and think it is worth it.
2. Do it yourself! Use LT transfers once you have a buyer
3. I have not had any scammers
Once I have a buyer I take all their info and send it to LT transfers and they handle the rest(contracts, request deed, info from you etc).

I agree with this. And use LT Transfer’s escrow service for a bit more $$

Escrow service is $100. Well worth it for peace of mind.

I also recommend selling it yourself. The ad runs a long time. Price it on the lower side of the other listings, but I can tell you from experience, selling any timeshare is tough. I have a few listings that have not moved, but Redweek is your best option. There is always My Resort Network as well, but it's not as well known.

The other thing to consider is to call Jean Thoms. She is a TS realtor in Tahoe and does a good bit of listing at HHS. Maybe let her sell it for you. http://timeshare-resale.com/time-share/north-lake-tahoe/hyatt-high-sierra/
