Sylvia,
I will be golfing in Orlando in two weeks---looking forward to it!!
So, given that I have been scouring the tee times, etc., I am pretty well versed to answer this question.
Here are the best web sites:
https://specials.ezlinks.com/Reservations/Specials.asp?selStartDate=02/22/2007&swww.ezlinks.com&
This site has a small offering, but some of the tee times are prior to noon. It shows offerings twelve days away. You can also try to bid a few bucks less by name your own price. If it fails, just go in and book the price listed.
www.golfnow.com (much more opportunities, but mostly NOT around 9 or 10 o'clock---when most people play). You can see the courses that they have offerings by clicking on the area(s) (Downtown, Attractions, etc)
Most courses offer twilight rates after 2pm. If you can play late in the day, you will be playing some premium courses for approixmately half-price.
I like Grande Cypress, Shingle Creek, Disney courses, Falcon's Fire, Hawk's Landing, Orange County Nat'l. And I hope to play Orange Lake Legends (not Reserve) this year. We played Championsgate last year, I would play there again.
Harmony Preserve is about 40 minutes away, but that's a course you should consider. Celebration was a decent course as well.
Grande Pines will be right next door to where we are staying, it's pretty nice, too----but beat the heck out of me!!!
There are some other courses that are not as expensive, of those, we enjoyed Eastwood, that was a few years ago.
I wouldn't suggest Orange lake Reserve (first twelve hole not so great), or Stoneybrook West (if you slice, you'll be near houses), or Hunter's Creek (poor yardage markings, etc)., Kissimmee (or Oaks)
Send a response if you need more info; I've researched it pretty extensively.
