I've been to DSV II a few times (that's our home resort), and it was also just my wife and I. That map does help a lot, since I'm not good at remember building numbers.
Since we were also just 2 adults without kids, proximity to a pool was not a priority for us. In fact, we prefer to be well away from the pools because we prefer it quiet.
If I am reading the numbers right, we liked building 628. This is in the back, away from the action and quiet. If you would like a room with a nice view out back towards the golf course and the mountains, an upstairs unit in one of those back buildings would be nice.
Also, I remember that there is a stream that meanders along the southern side of the property. If you prefer a water view, consider that area. We had a first floor room on another stay that faced the stream, and we enjoyed that very much as well.
