Hello all:

We are going to stay at Vistana Villages during March Break. We own at Bella but my understanding is that they will assign us a random room in a random phase at check in. I have never been, so was wondering which phase people recommend? I would prefer one close to the main pool and with newer/nicer finishing. We stayed at Lagunamar the last time and so something similar to that.

Bella is the closest phase to the main pool. I have no idea if Bella has been refurbished lately or not. We stayed at Bella twice, but as I recall the units were kind of dark. We prefer to stay in the St. Augustine section as it gets more sun and is brighter. However, none of the pools or units are as good as those at Lagunamar, nor is the pool service as good as. From what I recall at SVV, you have to go up to the pool bar and get your own drinks, plus I have never seen a pool concierge there either.

I’ve stayed in Augustine and liked it as well.

We stay in Key West. The units were redone a few years ago. It's a nice place with its own pool. We like the units very much.

Bella units have been refurbished but are still older in style and there are many complaints about them online. If you're looking to relax, I recommend Key West. Located in the back of the resort, it has its own pool (although there is no food/beverage outlet there) and the units are beautiful. If you'd like a pool with more activities and a bar, St. Augustine is probably your best bet...this is the newest built phase and units are very nice there as well. If you don't care much about the unit, Bella does have a good location to the main pool which also houses the resort's only full-service restaurant.
