Recently joined the Sheraton vacation club and thinking about cancelling

Long Story: Went to the Sheraton Orlando Florida Resort with the promotion offer they have been sending out. I did the timeshare presentation since they said they would add an additional 20k points and I got the 38k points for 15k with about 1k yearly fees. I am thinking about cancelling after reading around a bit about how difficult it was to book places and I thought the point conversions to star to bonvoy points would be higher, along with the life time gold membership for Marriot selling me.

Starting to get buyers remorse and looking to cancel this. I was able to look at the contract and I have 10 days to cancel. I signed the document on 11/15 and was going to send a certified mail/overnight today but I also noticed another part "Attention XXX (LLL Name) New Owner Administration Department or sent by email to XXX (email) or fax to XXX (Phone Number). Any attempt to obtain a waiver of your cancellation right is void and of no effect. While you may execute all closing documents in advance, the Closing, as evidenced by delivery of the deed or other document, before expiration of your 10-dday cancellation period, is prohibited."

Am I still okay to send the cancellation letter and do I need to send an email as well or is the letter enough?

Send cancellation, right of recission letter by certified mail so you have proof of when it was sent. Send to the address listed in your contract documents.

If they provide an email address, send an email. Then also send a secondary method. Registered mail is best followed by Certified mail. The cheapest option would be to send First Class mail (regular stamp) and get a Certificate of Mailing. You need to go to the post office to get a Certificate of Mailing. This proves the postmark date of the letter sent.

If anyone other than you also signed the purchase documents, that person must also sign the rescission letter.

Is there a letter format anywhere? I am having trouble looking for where it might be in a sticky.
