I finally posted some rentals on ebay and other sites. Ebay has been very curious -- lots of views but no sales. One 3BR Presidential unit at Bonnet Creek listed has over 840 views. I would think that one of those might pull the trigger.

Is it still too early for people to feel comfortable about venturing out?

We just returned from a week at Saratoga Springs resort. The Disney area is a ghost town. A few people at Disney Springs, but extremely light crowds there and the surrounding tourist zones.

Most of Saratoga Springs is vacant. Occupancy might be 5%.

We went over to the Boardwalk one evening. It was so quiet. Usually you hear music from Epcot, pool noise, etc., but it was silent.

I think people are looking and wishing they could go, but the reality is with the Disney parks closed, COVID on the rise in Florida, mask restrictions, July heat and all the other related uncertainly, people are staying away.

As it turns out, the reservation sold on ebay four hours after I posted here. It was at Wyndham Bonnet Creek starting July 25, not exactly the best time to visit Central Florida.

Thanks for the response and I think you're right. People would like to venture out but are still hesitant. They're doing a lot of window shopping but not going into the store and buying.

It also depends on the location and whether there are outdoor activities that can still be pursued. Our Lake Tahoe VRBO rented fully for the month of July within two days of lifting tourism restriction. This is despite higher cleaning fees, requiring longer stays and raising the rent to cover for 48 hour cleaning breaks between stays. (This is not a TS but still an interesting data point.)

Surprisingly we are faring better this year than last year when we could book back-to-back with a strong economy. I believe that we are getting drive-to renters who have the financial means to pay higher rates but cannot travel to Europe or other Int'l. Pent up demand.

I had a two bedroom rental on redweek and here on on tug for the week after the 4th starts july 11.

I was able to have the resort presidential villa at plantation resort cancel the reservation and they deposited a week that got the same amount of TPU's. So it was a win. The week had been sitting on RW and Tug for over a month.
