Received a call telling me I can rent out RCI Getaways

I normally do not p/u but was waiting for a phone call from the same area code. The caller was trying to get me to rent out RCI getaways for a profit. Ummm, Nope. I know that is not allowed. I wish I could get on a do not call list. Lately, I have received a # of similar calls.

That’s a popular scam. Good thing you knew better, many fall for it.

As soon as they start their pitch I tell them "Sure, I only charge $800 each. How many do you want and what email should I use to send you a PayPal invoice for them?" They hang up on me every time. Lol. I think they must take my number off their list because I rarely get those calls anymore.

My call 2 weeks ago was from 407 Orlando area code, asked if I was interested in renting RCI & they knew what system I owned in also

This has been brought up a number of times here on TUG. There are a couple of possibilities. One is that there are some current or former disgruntled employees of the various resorts who are selling owners' information on the side to these scammers. The other possibility is that it is employees of the exchange companies such as RCI who are doing the same thing.
